The Fern

In the bush the ferns grow where green and brown colours swallow the mush

In the bush I am as big as a ruby ball

which means I’m quite small

In the bush with rough and delicate leaves I shall rip quite easily

In the bush I am a curvy triangle, like the leaves, the flax and sometimes the trees

While I blow in the breeze the bush talks, my fury stalk extends, I may not have many jobs,

But I love to represent New Zealand with each leaf I grow

  1. Hi Jess, I love the way you have crafted your visual image with words like delicate, furry stalk extends, and colours swallow the mush! You have definitely thought about your purpose for writing and shaping your ideas with effect. Miss J
